Sold on 12 April 1989.
The nickname “Lego Boat” came about because the yacht (keels, rigs, rudders, bustles) could be set-up in different configurations as a 12 Metre. She was used in the making of the movie Wind and in the TV series No Boundaries.

1998:chartered by Pelle Peterson to race the 1988 Worlds in Lulea (Sweden), the name used was Geronimo
2002 – 2006: Simon Handley – home port: Ladysmith, BC (Canada)
2007 – 2015: 12mR Yacht Development Foundation (Patrick Sikorski) – home port: Greenwich, CT (USA)
2015 – present: Owned by New York Harbor Sailing Foundation. After a 2-year restoration, US-42 joined sister ship America II, US-46, match racing in New York Harbor.
World Championships Results:
1986 in Perth (Australia): winner 1988 in Lulea (Sweden): entered under the name of Royal Blue
2019: America II (US-42) competed in the Spirit Division of the 2019 12mR World Championship, racing against her sister-12, America II (US-46). Both teams were comprised of members of the Manhattan Yacht Club. In the series of 9 match races, US-42, narrowly took first place over US-46 by just one point (15-16).
